Technical Author

Job Description

Technical Author required for permanent opportunity in Switzerland offering a competitive salary up to £60,000.

The successful candidate will be able to produce descriptive operation and procedural Data Modules and page blocks as well as Mil-Spec specifications from engineering reports, drawings and general aircraft related documentation.
You will be involved in the production of Service Bulletins, Letters, Field Service Instructions and other aircraft modification packages as well as producing draft illustrations and schematic diagrams and illustration production packages.

Candidates need to have the following skills and background:
-Experience as a technical author writing aircraft mechanical technical documentation to ATA 100 specifications
-Experience with the use of SGML/XML
-Proficient in the use of MS Word and FrameMaker + SGML
-Experienced in the use of AECMA simplified English
-Good sound knowledge of engineering drawing systems and general aircraft related documentation.
