Aircraft Mechanical Technician/Inspector

Aircraft Mechanical Technician/Inspector is required to work in RAF Wyton for VT Aerospace.

VT Aerospace are looking for a Mechanical Technician/Inspector to work at RAF Wyton, Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, PE28 2EA.

Your main duties will include:

Airframe and propulsion inspection on Grob 115E aircraft

Sign off Aircraft Technician's work once inspected

Report any problems to Licences engineer

Potential ground handling of aircraft

Experience of Aircraft maintenance to be fully aware of procedures etc

It is essential that you have a qualification to either City and Guilds or NVQ level 3, in a suitable subject.

It will be a position where you will be getting involved with both maintenance and inspection, so experience in both is essential as well as willingness to get involved in both.

You will also need a basic driving licence.

Previous experience within an Aerospace environment is essential, and ideally from a military environment.

The salary is £22,277 per annum plus flexible benefits, including holiday pay, company pension, individual benefits package.

You will be working 5 out of 7 days per week, 40 hours in total from 08:00 - 17:00. Weekend work may apply in this role depending on what shift pattern is agreed.

Location: RAF Shawbury (Shropshire)

Our client is an organisation specialising in the provision, operation and support of helicopters for military and governmental applications world-wide and is seeking to appoint a Licensed Aircraft Engineer to their facility at RAF Shawbury in Shropshire.

The Licensed Aircraft Engineer's duties will include:

*Undertaking maintenance tasks on Civil Owned - Military Registered aircraft allocated to the operation in accordance with the requirements of EASA Part 145.
*Supervising technical and non-technical staff allocated by the Chief Engineer for specific maintenance and / or non-maintenance related tasks.
*Reporting of unserviceabilities relating to aircraft, systems and services identified during the course of duty.
*Ensuring cleanliness and tidiness of the work place.
*Ensuring compliance with established 'Tool Control' procedures.
*Undertaking secondary duties allocated to him by the Chief Engineer, e.g. POL management, publication control, and tool inventory administration.
*Complying with internal auditor duties as directed by the Chief Engineer.
*Fulfilling any other tasks as Delegated to him by the Chief Engineer.
*Aircraft flight servicing inspections (DFS).
*Scheduled inspections and maintenance requirements.
*Fault diagnosis and rectification work.
*Component replacement, planned alterations and modifications.
*Participation in aircraft maintenance test flights and subsequent analysis of results, e.g. vibration data.
*Assisting in the daily ground handling/aircraft movement tasks of the Section including refuelling/defuelling, post starting checks for faults, leaks, security of doors, panels etc. and cleaning/washing of aircraft when required.
*Aircraft Documentation, to conduct inspection of aircraft documentation to ensure all relevant entries in regards to the work carried out by himself have been made and are correct.

Qualifications/Licences/Experience:

*AW 109 maintenance experience
*UK CAA BCAR licence or European EASA Part 66 licence
*Preferably type rated upon 109 and / or one of B212/B412/AS350

Shift work is required and benefits include free life assurance, personal pension scheme and 30 days holiday per annum plus Bank Holidays.

Românii nu se înghesuie să plece la muncă în Elveţia

Prezentat ca o victorie, rezultatul referendumului din Elveţia reflectă teama acestei ţări de a nu slăbi relaţiile economice cu UE. El are însă mai puţine efecte în ceea ce-i priveşte pe românii care vor să muncească aici.

În timp ce în Marea Britanie aveau loc manifestaţii împotriva muncitorilor străini, Ţara Cantoanelor aproba prin referendum prelungirea acordului privind libera circulaţie a persoanelor între Elveţia şi UE şi extinderea sa la România şi Bulgaria. Campania premergătoare s-a desfăşurat într-un climat politic tensionat. În lunile anterioare organizării referendumului, Partidul Popular Elveţian, reprezentând dreapta naţionalistă şi xenofobă, a împânzit principalele bulevarde din Geneva şi Zürich cu afişe în care se puteau vedea corbi imenşi, ciugulind dintr-o Elveţie lipsită de apărare. Însă teama de dumpingul salarial şi de o escaladare a criminalităţii, argumente vehiculate de către oponenţii acordului, a fost învinsă de frica de a nu afecta relaţiile economice cu UE, pricipalul partener comercial al Elveţiei.

Acordul cu UE prevede că cetăţenii comunitari şi cei elveţieni dobândesc dreptul de a-şi alege liber locul de muncă sau domiciliul pe teritoriul statelor contractante. Pentru aceasta, ei trebuie să fie în posesia unui contract de muncă valabil sau să exercite o activitate independentă, iar în cazul în care nu desfăşoară o activitate lucrativă, să dispună de mijloace financiare suficiente şi de o asigurare de sănătate. Acordul reglementează, de asemenea, recunoaşterea reciprocă a diplomelor şi coordonarea regimurilor naţionale de securitate so­cială. Ca urmare a aderării Bulgariei şi României la Comunitatea Europeană, Elveţia şi UE au negociat, printr-un protocol adiţional la acord, un regim tranzitoriu pentru cetăţenii celor două state. Acest regim presupune aplicarea următoarelor condiţii: prioritatea cetă­ţenilor elveţieni la angajare, veri­ficarea prealabilă a contractelor de muncă şi contingente aplicabile timp de şapte ani, începând de la intrarea în vigoare a regimului tranzitoriu. Astfel, numărul autorizaţiilor de şedere de lungă durată (permis B, cinci ani) eliberate resortisanţilor din România şi Bulgaria va creşte progresiv de la 362, în primul an, la 1.207 în al şaptelea an. Numărul autorizaţiilor de scurtă durată ( permis L, de la 4 la 12 luni) va creşte de la 3.620 la 11.664.

Prognoza nu este deloc încurajatoare, anul acesta aştepându-se ca şomajul să ajungă la 4%. În aceste condiţii, ce şanse sunt ca aceste alocaţii să nu rămână doar pe hârtie? „Nu cred că şomajul afectează cetăţenii români care lucrează sau vor lucra în Elveţia, deoarece este vorba de specialişti de înaltă clasă, care activează în domeniul IT, comunicaţii sau în cadrul universităţilor şi nu de muncitori“, a declarat pentru Capital Simon Geissbuhler, consilier al Ambasadei Elveţiei la Bucureşti. Acesta admite faptul că ţara sa este interesată şi de medicii şi asistentele medica­le din România, dar aceştia trebuie să cunoască foarte bine franceza sau germana. În opinia lui Geissbuhler, după ce efectele crizei se vor fi atenuat, Elveţia va putea importa din România mână de lucru necesară în hotelărie şi alimentaţie publică, dar şi în agricultură.

Salariile oferite de angajatorii elveţieni sunt atractive. Conform Cameliei Mihalcea, director în cadrul Agenţiei Naţionale pentru Ocuparea Forţei de Muncă, în sectorul sanitar salariile variază între 3.000 şi 3.200 de euro/lună, în agricultură salariul mediu este de 2.000 de euro/lună, iar în hotelărie şi gastronomie, de 2.400-3.000 de euro/lună. Concurenţa este însă pe măsură, mulţi cetăţeni germani, printre care şi specialişti de top, optând să lucreze în Elveţia. 2006 a reprezentat un an-record, circa 155.000 de nemţi plecând la muncă peste hotare. Majoritatea a ales Ţara Cantoanelor, unde salariile nete sunt cu 65% mai mari decât în Germania, iar costul vieţii, cu doar 30% mai ridicat decât acasă. Spre deosebire de cetăţenii români, germanii, alături de ceilalţi cetăţeni din vechile state membre ale UE, se bucură de totală libertate pe piaţa elveţiană a muncii. Cu alte cuvinte, în cazul acestora, angajatorii nu trebuie să contacteze autoritatea cantonală pentru a cere permisiunea de a încheia contractul cu un cetăţean străin.

Pe de altă parte, din cele 1.000 de locuri de muncă câte au fost alocate anterior pentru România, nu s-au ocupat decât 76. Agenţii de recrutare, cum ar fi Lugera&Makler şi Hill International, nu au avut solicitări pentru posturi în Elveţia, iar în reţeaua EURES România nu s-a primit nicio ofertă din Ţara Cantoanelor în perioada ianuarie-fe­bruarie 2009. Toate acestea arată că adevărata miză a ultimelor evoluţii din Elveţia a fost menţinerea relaţiilor economice cu UE, şi mai puţin atragerea de forţă de muncă din România.

4.000 de români se află în prezent în Elveţia, conform Ministe­rului român al Afacerilor Ex­terne, reprezentând circa 0,4% din totalul cetăţenilor UE care locuiesc în această ţară

The Efficient Computation group at ITU conducts research and teaching in algorithms and data structures. Our interests range from deep understanding of complexity questions to algorithm engineering issues in bridging the gap to efficient software.
